Easter Afternoon at Grandma's

Mommy couldn't resist and even though it was silly, Mommy bought me a new yellow Easter dress and a pink shrug. I looked so dang cute!!
So of course Daddy had to get his cute mug in the photo's too...
And then Mommy couldn't be left out...
We went to Grandpa and Grandma's house for Easter lunch. We ate Lasagna, City Chicken, Potatoes, Rolls, Corn, Salad and Cake! I love cake. Grandpa & Grandma also had an Easter Egg hunt for me, and I ran around and picked a few eggs up.
Grandma was explaining to me how to open the eggs up to get my treats out.
But I'm a pro...and I opened the eggs up with ease. Each time I opened an egg with a treat in it I was so surprised. Everyone had a great chuckle watching me.
I rolled around in the eggs too. Wallowed in them. That was great fun!
Then I had to stop for a quick play break in my kitchen, and to talk on my phone.
And then I spotted a little gift from Grandma & Grandpa!! And Grandma opened it up for me as I stood on my tippy-toes to get a better look.
Easter was so much fun!

Easter Morning

Happy Easter my little bird!!
Daddy and I hid a few Easter eggs for the muffin this morning before heading over to grandma's house for lunch. She came walking down the hall way with her little Easter basket in hand and spotted this egg right off the bat. She ran over to it and grabbed it. We placed one dollar bills in a few eggs because she has a real liking of money (who doesn't right?) and then we placed a few toddler treats in a few other eggs. She dug that. In fact, she liked the ones with the treats more than the ones with the money and if she opened one with money in it she seemed bummed out and would drop the money and look in the egg for a treat. And so it begins...
Then, she looked over and spotted her Easter "basket" which was really a watering can, sitting up on the buffet amidst a bunch of junk. We weren't hiding it for her, we just hadn't given it to her yet. So we were both really tickled when she walked over to the buffet and tried to get her basket down.
So we handed her the basket and the first thing she pulled out was this packet. They're Pringle's Stix. She loves these. I thought it was pathetic that she recognized the package, but hey. We also packed it with some fruit strips and twists and some money and two little wind up toys. She seemed to really like the wind up toys. One was a hoping bunny, the other was a car that spun in circles. It was noisy and she seemed a little freaked out by it.

Hunting for Easter eggs!

We took the muffin to the local activity center for their annual Easter egg hunt this morning! She was so overwhelmed but it was supper cute (and loads of fun for mommy!).

She even got a little help from a little boy who was nearby.

This is her Bunny face apparently.

Sniffing out nearby eggs? Priceless!

Oh LOOK! There's an egg! Yes, she did pick up a few eggs and put them in her basket.

And we looked for some more...

And then...there was this WEIRD dude!

She walked right over to him, and was cool about meeting the Easter Bunny...

...until he decided to hold her!!

Oh what fun!

Tongs! The next Tickle Me Elmo!

She's weird already!

This morning muffin wanted to wear her hat! Don't ask me why! She just kept trying to put it on herself and then fussed at me to do it! She's had it on ever since. Usually I can't get her to leave her hat on at all!

Muffin peekin' at L

This is Muffin peekin' at L through the window in the play castle at the Library today. Muffin's surprise at seeing her there was absolutely priceless. They both giggled down to their toes. It was just so cute!

At the library.

So, we're at the library. There is another little girl her who is exactly the same age as muffin! I am cracking up at muffins reaction to L. She ran over and took a puzzle from L. A few minutes later L took it back...muffin howled! She's never done that before. Usually she just looks at the and walks away. But she cried and cried. I couldn't help but snicker. Then a bit later L made some funny growling noise and muffin totally flipped out! She ran to me so scared and bawling! Now there is a little boy about 2 weeks younger. Muffin is mesmerized by him. She is just staring and staring! I love it!

Muffin's Easter Basket

My first Blog video!

This is a short snippet of me using a fork to eat my pork chops for the first time. I did this today during dinner, much to my parents delight and surprise! Daddy had to help me stab the meat, because though I was on target, I didn't have the strength to get it to stay on my fork! I was so delighted and chuckled down to my toes!

Using a fork!

Today I am using a fork all by myself! Pork chops never tasted so good!
