Its getting hot in here!

The muffin has learned to work zippers lately and this week discovered that she could take off her sleep sack and pj's! This is what I came in to find when she was supposed to be going to sleep for the night! Guess its a good thing I came in to check on her otherwise she'd had fallen asleep and been a cold muffin all night!

Water play

I read in a toddler book about doing this, letting the muffin play in water on the dishwasher door. I quickly realized we needed a towel (and probably more) because toddlers are not mess free. It was a great idea and kept her busy for some time!

Outside fun!

The muffin enjoyed some fun outdoors this morning. She watered the garden, watered her car, watered the grass, watered the dog, watered the rocks and watered herself! We went for a drive around the block in her new car. She road her bike and pulled her wagon. She twisted caps honked her horn, tipped over, drank water, open and closed the door 8 hundred times, steered the wheel, waved bye bye, said bye bye and took the rocks for a ride in her car. Its been an exhausting (and wet) morning!

Uh oh! Nothing's safe!

The other night the muffin learned that she could climb up on chairs now. So, she does it none stop. And now she can reach everything I put up on the table, put of what used to be her reach!

Well baby

Muffin went to the doc on Fri for her well baby visit. She weighed 25lbs 13oz and was 32" long! That puts her in the 75th percentile for weight and 50th for height!

Silver beach

I took the muffin to THE beach today with my girlfriend and her daughters. It was the beach we hung out at as teens and in young adulthood. We have a lot of memories there and I'm pleased that one of them now includes my little muffin. We went in the late evening, so there wasn't anyone there, and it was storm cloudy, but the sunset was great! It wore me out and made me feel very old! But I had a great time watching muffin play in the sand and surf of Lake Michigan. I think I got a few nice pictures to scrapbook too!
