Taking time out

We took a little time off of packing tonight and enjoyed being outside down at the river front this evening. I got to see a ground hog from just a few feet away before he scurried into his burrow. I saw some minnows and a trout in one of the fisherman's bucket, and I saw lots of other interesting things that I enjoyed checking out.

Waiting on the bridge

Crossing over the river on the way to see grandpa for Father's Day, the muffin got the rare treat of being able to get out of the car and watch the bridge turn and see the river and all of the boats up close! She was a bit freaked by being so up close to the water, and was hanging on tight to her daddy! This was her first time being able to stand on the bridge and she thought it was a very special treat.

Cause there can NEVER be too many fairs!!

We all went to a local fair last night with some of our friends to eat lot's of junk food, ride a few rides and watch the fireworks! I was so excited to see the fireworks all day. I loved the fireworks last year! But once they started going off I wasn't so keen on the idea. I didn't remember them being so loud and bright!
