Trick or Treat!!!

We went all over town today for Halloween fun!  Ok, ok.  So the fun was more for Momma's sake than anyone's, whatever.  First thing this morning we went to a little costume parade and Grandma joined us.  I was dressed up in a little monkey costume and thirteen layers of clothes because it was so cold and the wind was whipping around.  Then later that day we went to a little Boo Bash that had Pony Rides.  I got to sit on one of the Ponies, my first ever!!  Then we went to visit Great Grandma and Auntie Maddie.  Who just think I'm the cutest thing EVER!!

I mean look at me!  I am the cutest thing ever!!

Later that day we were off Trick or Treating in our neighborhood.  I went last year when I was only 9 months old, but this year I got to walk around and carry a little pumpkin and beg for my own candy (which Momma has already confiscated and probably eaten).  We took Kaida too!  We saw another Mastiff who was a puppy and way bigger than my Kaida.  Daddy walked Kaida, but I tried my hardest to get him to let me do it.  I guess he "helped".

This is my first stop.  This is Daddy's cousin Carol.  She dressed up in a really cool costume.  When she put the first candy in (a big handful!!  I guess it pays to know people!) I just stared at her.  What is she doing??

I had to investigate.  Had to figure out what this "Trick or Treating" was all about.

Ooh, looky there!!  She put cool stuff in my pumpkin!!  Let's do that some more!!

I had so much fun!  We crunched through the leaves up and down my street.  Daddy threatened people not to scare me! :)  I got tons of candy, chips and cookies that I won't even get to taste this year (Mu-wah!!  That's Momma saying that!), went for a nice walk in a fun costume and saw lots of little kids and even dogs that were dressed in funny costumes.  Then we went back to our home and passed out candy for a little while before I had to go to bed.  I loves weeing all of the kids dressed up and coming to the door saying "Trick or Treat".  Everytime Momma said, "Muffin, someones coming!!" I ran to the door to see.  Kaida tried to also.  It was such a fun day, but when we were all done I was pooped!!

Horsey!!

The muffin loves horses, so we took her to the little Boo Bash where they had pony rides. We didn't let her ride, but the guy was nice enough to let her sit on the pony. She was a bit freaked out. But she chattered all about horsey for a while!

A Monkey at the parade!

We took the muffin, aka the monkey, to a local parade today to see the other kids in costumes. It was so windy and cold! She really loved seeing the dogs dressed up. She laughed her but off when she saw 2 wiener dogs dressed up like hot dogs! She got a little candy which momma intends to eat! We have a big day planned, but the cold wind might keep us from having too much fun!

Storytime

Today was the muffins first official storytime at the library. She did not want to be in that room! She kept trying to leave and then I finally got her to sit on my lap where she hunkered down and sucked her fingers. When we started to sing she really got shy and wrapped her arms around me and only occasionally turned her head to see the teacher and the one other little person there that she didn't know. Odd. I didn't see that reaction coming.

Leaves and Ladybugs

The muffin and I went outside for a walk today. Afterwards we played in the giant leaves from our sycamore tree in the front yard. While we were sitting in the leaves a ladybug landed on the muffin, much to her delight! She had a nice time checking it out as it crawled all over her before she sort of freaked out and momma flicked it away. She is a year and 9 months tomorrow. I can believe how fast the time has gone.

I'm a big girl now!

Today the muffin used a booster seat at the restaurant instead of a high chair. Sniff! Momma's baby is growing up too fast!

Cuttin' Up!

Muffin is learning how to use scissors! She seems to like it and caught on pretty fast. I padded the handle of her scissors to make them easier for her to grip.

Hey! Your still up there!

The muffin got a huge kick out of the fact that when she went down the slide momma was still way up high on the platform (guarding the opening she could fall through). She squealed and laughed her butt off!

Big laughs at the park!

Yesterday I took the muffin to the park to enjoy the beautiful weather we are having! She was such a ham none all day! Here she is laughing and playing it up for the camera just before shooting down a tunnel slide!

Take the skin heads bowling!

Ok, so she's not quite a skinhead any more... Today we took the muffin bowling for the first time! She seemed to really dig it! Maybe not as much as we dug watching her, but none the less! She even tried to pick up her own balls, putting her tiny fingers in the top large holes! It was so cute! Daddy and I took turns helping her roll the ball down the alley.

Knight in shinning armor.

The muffin and I surprised daddy today by taking him to the Henry Ford Museum to see a Castle Lego exhibit. It was fun, and there were so many great models that were amazing to see in person. I bought an annual pass and am looking forward to going back to see all of the attractions.

Cider mill

This is muffin feeding the goats at the cider mill today. We didn't stay long because it started to rain. The donuts were by far the best ever!! At least to me, the muffin didn't seem to care. She did enjoy a little of my cider slurpee though!
