Old time fun!

I took the muffin to Greenfield Village today. She insisted on riding all of the old vehicles and the carousel. Here we are in a Ford Model T getting ready for a small your of the village.

Now THIS was a good time!

I took the muffin to a local din center near the house that was super fun! They had all kinds of huge padded play blocks and structures. There was a big tune maze and giant slides. She had such a great time and her usual clingy shy self was running all around and jumping and playing with loads of other kids. I was so impressed and she was beside herself with glee! Guess we'll have to buy a pass.

I'm climbing a tree Momma!

The muffin ho to me that she was climbing a tree while we were sitting outside of the activity barn waiting for our art class to start today. She was so darn cute!

Craft time!

The muffin recently learned the value of glue the other day in her set class, so today I went through the house gathering weird stuff for her to glue on paper! She had a great time gluing confetti, buttons, string, ribbon, bells, stickers, paper, bottle caps, feathers and any other weird thing she felt like adding! It was so cute and she just had a great time!

Swimming like a fishy!

I took the muffin to our local pool today for a few hours. She had so much fun! She floated, she jumped, she swam on her yummy and on her back, she walked on her hands, she dove for her sunglasses, she ran through sprinklers, and she jumped in! The muffin was in sheer heaven! She was in such delight that she kept squeaking! I wish I could've gotten more pictures with some action, but with her fearlessness in the pool I didn't feel safe being distracted, especially if I had to grab her! At one point I was shoulder deep and she jumped in (wearing a life vest) and she didn't jump as far as she had been, so she went down to the bottom before I grabbed her! Of course, she came up laughing!

VBS

The muffin got to enjoy going to VBS a couple of days this week since I volunteered as a helper. It was nice to see her in a gig group of kids and how she responded. Mostly she was still very shy and clingy, but there were moments (like this one) when she seemed to be off like any of the other big kids, being a big kid! At one point some older kids were all saying "whoa!" about something and Muffin repeated after them, like she knew what was going on and like she was part of the group. It was super funny! Mostly she just seemed star struck by all of the kids. That was fun to watch!

The Muffin Singing "Toes" and playing her Ukulele!

The Muffin is a big fan of The Zach Brown Band! Her favorite song is "Toes". This video is of her playing the Ukulele and singing "Toes". Its about 5 minutes long, but so worth the watch! She's hilarious! She looks like she's singing the blues or something. It has to be the best video EVER!! Nemesis = Friend

Up until a few days ago the Muffin was so afraid of this Elmo doll that she wouldn't be alone in the room with him if he was talking or moving. If he said something she would run from the room for momma or daddy! But today for the first time she picked him up. And then she hugged him, and then she carried him around and danced with him and even kissed one of his big eye balls!!! Guess her biggest nemesis is her bud now.

Sprinkler fun!

I love playing in water! Its probably my favorite thing ever! This morning I played in the kitchen sink and helped momma wash dishes. Then momma brought me outside to play in the sprinkler because it is such a hot day here! This is me putting my head in the water. I like the sprinkler but mostly I just run around in the puddles or get my feet wet. But the longer I was outside playing in the hose the more I relaxed and got wet. I even put my face in once! Maybe tomorrow I'll get to go to the pool after playgroup!

Fun at the zoo!

We went to the zoo today with some friends. The muffins favorite thing is the aquarium. She also got an up close look at a hippo that freaked her out and was pretty funny. We also had a lot of fun looking at the baby polar bear! The bear played with its ball right in front of the window!
