Today my new school had open doors so we could come in and tour the school. We walked all over the entire school so that I could get a feel for the place. One of the kindergarten teachers was there, and as it turns out it looks like I'll be in her class along with one of my long time friends. I was really glad to get to meet my teacher and see my classroom!
This is my new baby brother! Momma had him on Tuesday! I am beside myself with glee! I love his tiny little ears and his gigantic feet! I stayed with my Grandpa & Grandma when Momma went to the hospital to have him. I was so excited to get to see him the next day! I hold him as much as possible, and even tried to give him a bottle once while Momma was in surgery the next day. I am so exited to be able to do that a bunch more. I'm also having a great time seeing both of my grandmas so much.
Today I crossed the entire length of the monkey bars in one pass, my first time ever! I am so proud of myself. I just kept whispering to myself "You can do this. You can do this." And then I did.
After 6 fun weeks and tons of princesses, sadly today was the very last of my Princess Parties. We had a scavenger hunt, I got a T-shirt and countless other goodies. This was one of my most favorite activities ever!
Yesterday was my first Princess Party at the local theater. It was so much fun I can't stop talking about it! Ariel was the surprise process of the day. We sang and danced and heard a sorry. We made a craft and had popsicles. I loved it. Ariel even told me that I was a good dancer!
This past weekend my uncle and three of my cousins came to visit us. We had so much fun! We went to a local festival where we fed farm animals, rode a camel and a roller coaster. One night we went to the movies to see Despicable Me 2, and later had a fire pit where we did sparklers and daddy let off some fireworks. I also had to go to my princess party, but one of my cousins came to pick me up with Momma, so she was able to meet Cinderella and Princes Jasmine with me. It was a great visit, and I had a lot of fun playing.
We finally got to come to the pool! Between the cool temps this summer and the rain, we haven't had much of a chance to swim. But today is 88° and mostly sunny.
This morning I started going to my science art class! It was so weird! We mixed corn starch, shaving cream, water and paint to create a really bazaar clay like substance. It melted, but was hard at the same time. It looked wet and sticky, but it was dry and slippery. I had a really cool time!
Today I am sick. Momma says I have a summer cold. And I was really sad today because I had to miss the last day of VBS where we were going to have a picnic and a party afterwards, and then spend the day hanging with my friends. So we got out my little pool and we played with the water for a while. Then Momma surprised me with my first slip-n-slide!! Ooh man! It doesn't matter how yucky I feel, this is the best thing EVER!! I told Momma I could do this all day!!
This evening, while playing Uno, it started storming...while the sun was out! We went out looking for a rainbow, and sure enough there was one off of the front porch! In fact, it was a double rainbow!! This is the first rainbow I remember ever seeing. It was very exiting. We even saw a huge steak of lightening go down right in front of the rainbow, it was amazing!
Today was my last day of preschool! We had a party at school with a pinata and pizza and Momma got to come. Afterwards Daddy joined us and we went for ice cream and then I picked going to Big Boys for dinner.
Today I made pies for my teachers on my last day of school as a thank you present. I did everything from start to finish. I made blueberry banana cream pies. My teachers loved them!
The night before last I fell out of my bed and busted my chin open. I had to get five stitches. It was a terrible experience, but I was so brave!
